SUMMARY
Over
25 years of experience in the construction industry,
with an emphasis on project management, estimating,
value engineering, design-build, and fast-track
projects. As President of P. J. Dick, directed field
operations, construction management services, design-build
services, pre-construction services, estimating
and project management activities of the Pittsburgh
headquarters and regional offices. Initiated and
actively managed the development of two new business
units, Facilities Solutions Group, LLC, and Computer
Assisted Facilities Management (CAFM). Responsible
for the placement of over $300 million of construction
contracts per year for the last 3 years. Initiated
the search and subsequent opening of P. J. Dick's
regional office in Washington, DC, which had under
contract in excess of $120 million in eighteen months.
FSG received contracts for program management,
CAFM services and actual hard dollar bids. This
organization required cleared employees as much
of the work called for security clearances from
the Department of Defense. Actively involved
in the development of corporate marketing strategies
and business plans for all business units, as well
as developing and maintaining client relationships.

of a 130,000 sq. ft. multi-purpose Sensitive
Compartment Information Facility (SCIF) and
certified operations building. The building
was both a two-story and a one-story steel-framed
structure, and included security and information
systems. Also included were site improvements
and a parking facility to support the new building.

construction of a 208,271 sq. ft. GSF facility
to house the National Environmental Satellite,
Data and Information Service (NESDIS) Satellite
Operations and Data Processing Centers. The
design consisted of two main components, a slender
three-story tower with an antenna to house the
satellite operations and computer center, and
a high-tech office built on an existing slope.
The complex houses high-technology equipment
to control over $3 billion of environmental
satellites.
